Prior to joining MCB, Keleisha held associate attorney positions at two different firms in the New York area. Working with these firms’ legal teams, she helped to prepare strategic defenses against medical malpractice claims by performing legal research; drafting and filing court documents; preparing discovery responses; analyzing medical records; and assisting in trial preparation. Before these tenures, she gained valuable experience through legal internships and volunteer positions at such places as the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and the Nassau County Bar Association. These endeavors provided broad experience in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, drafting and filing legal documents, and legal analysis.
Keleisha earned her B.B.A. with honors from the University of Technology, Jamaica, in 2007, followed by her LL.B. (Hons) from the University of London in 2018. She continued her legal education at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she earned her LL.M. in 2020 and her J.D. in 2022.
During her tenure at Hofstra, Keleisha was a two-time recipient of the Academic Merit Scholarship and served as Treasurer of the Black Law Students Association. Her diverse academic background and commitment to excellence have established her as a versatile advocate within the firm. She is admitted to practice in New York.
