About John M. Bugliosi

John M. Bugliosi is a Partner at Martin Clearwater Bell LLP with more than two decades of experience in defending and litigating medical malpractice cases.

John initially started his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. There, he gained extensive trial experience as a homicide prosecutor and later as a Deputy Bureau Chief responsible for supervising the prosecution of felony cases.

In 1999, John chose to devote his career to the defense of medical practitioners against a growing tide of malpractice claims and allegations. Before joining MCB, John was a partner at a highly respected firm in the New York metropolitan area, where he defended a wide variety of individual and institutional health care clients.

As a Partner at MCB, John brings his substantial experience along with an unwavering commitment to client service. Keenly aware of the disruption that medical malpractice claims force upon his clients-as well as the accompanying intrusiveness into their professional and personal lives-John prides himself on being available 24/7 to guide his clients through the litigation process; providing counsel, answering questions, and addressing all concerns along the way. As a result, his clients are meticulously prepared for whatever they may encounter during the litigation process. Combining this client-focused approach with aggressive defense strategies, John has successfully represented medical professionals and institutions at trial throughout New York City and the Hudson Valley.

John is a published author, having written the textbook entitled The Art of Prosecution - Trial Advocacy Fundamentals From Case Preparation Through Summation.

John received his B.A.A. cum laude from the University of North Dakota, and earned his J.D., with distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
