While in law school, Mr. Pita earned special recognition for his work with the Public Interest Law Center (f/k/a the Children's Advocacy Center) at Florida State University, where he represented indigent women and children in dependency and family law matters. A member of the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy, and Phi Delta Phi legal honor fraternity, Mr. Pita represented Florida State at the American Bar Association negotiation competition in Boston, MA, and southeast regional client counseling competition in Orlando, as a member of the Dispute Resolution Society.
