About Kelsey K. Anliker

Kelsey Anliker advises domestic and foreign clients on regulatory compliance related to food and drug law, with an emphasis on food and drug packaging. She assists clients in obtaining premarket clearance for food contact substances and in bringing new products to market in the United States and international jurisdictions.

Kelsey drafts legal opinion letters evaluating packaging components such as additives, printing inks, adhesives, polymer components, and color additives used in plastics, paper and paperboard, and coatings. She also counsels clients on good manufacturing practice (GMP) issues related to the manufacture of food packaging and on regulatory requirements governing the use of recycled materials in food contact applications.

Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, Kelsey was a Legal Intern with the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic. She also was a Language Assistant with a Teaching Assistant Program in France and served as a Public Health Intern with the Iowa Department of Public Health. While in law school, Kelsey was the second-year law school representative for the Health Law & Policy Society and the Vice President of the Women’s Law Society. She was also a member of the William & Mary Law Review.

Kelsey has a background in biochemistry and chemistry, including working as a Lab Assistant in the Cell Biology Lab at the University of Iowa. Her scientific background is valuable in assisting clients with technical aspects of food and drug law matters.
