Her team and herself are amazing. Any problems I have I just say talk to my lawyer and it’s handled. Pit bull in the court room and respected maybe even feared by the other side of the court room.
I would not recommend this attorney. At first, I thought Erica was polite, compassionate, and professional. I had hired her to assist me in modifying child support and child custody arrangement from a divorce 6 years prior. She thoroughly explained the process and my options. She sent a proposal to modify the arrangements based upon his life circumstances. His response included inaccurate information and personal correspondence that was incomplete. Upon receiving this response from my ex-husband, I provided her with a set of documents to counter, which she stated she had submitted. Upon losing a portion of the case, I spoke to her afterward and said I was surprised the judge ruled that way given the provided documentation. She replied, "Me too." After the completion of the case, I requested the files and found out that she had lied and failed to submit a counter.
DO NOT TRUST HER – Unethical and Negligent I retained Erica Chisholm in Wahpeton, ND for SSDI disability representation. After two years of repeated assurances—“it’s a slow process”—she had done virtually nothing, limited to faxing a single document and later calling it a “favor.” As a result, I lost two full years of benefits, backpay, and financial stability. She also previously represented my husband in a divorce before my involvement—without disclosing that conflict or obtaining my informed consent. Despite being paid thousands by him, no statements or billing records were ever provided. I filed a formal complaint with the North Dakota Disciplinary Board, which took action. If you value transparency, accountability, and respect—this is not the firm to trust. —D. Springer
