Karen displayed such empathy and compassion when discussing my mortality and what I wanted to happen when the time came that I was very impressed. Karen has the unique ability to explain all of the legal terms, and there are many, in everyday language so that it was very clear to me. She was so empathetic to explain what the outcome of each choice would be so that I was able to make an informed decision on such important matters. When everything was completed, Karen explained the documents again before my signing and had a witness and notary standing ready at that time. Karen made what could have been an awkward experience into a smooth and easy process leaving me feeling very confident about expressing my last requests.
Karen Fortier has assisted me with personal wills and estate planning since 2002. She also provided valuable guidance when I was executor of my mother's estate in 2008. {para}Karen is an expert in explaining the intricacies of elder law and the effect present decisions can have on future situations. {para}I have referred several friends to her, all of whom have been completely satisfied with the quality and cost her service.
Unreliable, slow with communication, over charges, will not work with clients schedule when it comes to hearing, works against client if the client complains about service, and withhold information that would support client cases from the court if she is not in good standing with the client. Would not recommend. Wish I was warned.
