Tiffany Chan was called to the bar in September 2017, after articling with our firm. She was previously a summer student with the firm in 2014 and 2015. Tiffany graduated from University of Ottawa Law School with a Juris Doctor Degree in June 2016.
Her practice areas include motor vehicle litigation, civil litigation, head injury claims, company disputes, estate litigation, employment law, contractual disputes and insurance defence.
Tiffany was a teaching assistant in the Dispute Resolution Practicum, where she led training sessions to help first-year students prepare for their interview, negotiation, and mediation simulations.
Tiffany has assisted counsel in preparing a Cantonese speaking client for giving evidence, interviewing witnesses, and drafting pleadings. Tiffany worked in the UBC legal aid clinic. She also does legal research, including work on a research project for a Supreme Court of Canada leave to appeal application.
In 2015, Tiffany was a participant in the Richard Weiler Mediation Competition where she engaged in negotiations involving a contractual dispute in a mediation that was facilitated by a professional mediator.
Tiffany is dedicated to her involvement in the community. She was an intern for Dress for Success, an Executive Member of the Heart of the City Piano Program and she has been Assistant Chair for the Harvard World Model United Nations.
Tiffany Chan’s personal interests and accomplishments are very diverse. She is an accomplished pianist, enjoys leading worship at church and donates much of her time for charity events. Tiffany is also fluent in 3 languages, English, Cantonese and Mandarin. In her spare time, she loves to participate in local runs such as the Scotiabank 5K Run as well as hiking BC’s beautiful mountains.
