Kurt Hyzler graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2006 after submitting a doctoral thesis entitled "The Principle of Pari Passu in Corporate Insolvency Law". Kurt was awarded the Chevening Scholarship in 2006 in order to further his studies at Queen Mary University London where in 2007 he obtained a Masters of Law degree from the University of London in Banking and Finance Law after sitting for examinations in Company Law, International Finance Law, Financial Services Law and Corporate Insolvency Law.

Kurt started his professional career with GVTH in 2007 and proceeded to join Simon Tortell and Associates in 2009. Throughout the years he has been involved mainly in corporate law, privatizations, banking and financial services law.
