As just one example, he helped found and actively participates in a monthly pro bono clinic run in cooperation with the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center which has assisted dozens of individuals in family law, immigration, consumer, landlord-tenant and other matters. In 2008, this clinic resulted in Brian's firm being selected as Northern Virginia Pro Bono law firm of the Year by the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center.
