About Kristopher K. McVay

Kristopher McVay graduated with highest honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2017. Kristopher earned a bachelor of arts in Sociology with a focus on law and legal institutions from Oklahoma State University in 2011. Before beginning his studies at Oklahoma State, Kristopher deployed to Iraq in 2007 as a Civil Affairs Specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve. In 2013, Kristopher deployed again with his Reserve unit to Afghanistan as a civil-military advisor. He completed his Army career as a staff sergeant and was honorably discharged in 2014.

While in law school, Kristopher served as Articles Research Editor of the Tulsa Law Review. He received a CALI Award in Torts and was awarded the Order of the Curule Chair. He completed internships with the Honorable Gregory Frizzell, Chief Judge of the Northern District of Oklahoma, and with the Honorable Stephanie K. Seymour, senior judge of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Kristopher is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and currently practices as a civil litigator.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
