He was an outstanding advocate for me when times were tough. Even drove me home once. Since then, he's remained a known quantity as morally outstanding rep of his class. His specialty is real estate law and he won't hesitate to inform you where the parameters of his comfort zone are set. So he's a dear one even when the gas runs out....
I would not recommend James Whitehill for probate matters. Mr. Whitehill charged significantly more than initial agreement and often failed to return phone calls or provide timely updates. Most concerning was a clear conflict of interest. He also represented the party contesting the probate and billing me for their legal fees. I believe this conduct was unprofessional and a serious breach of ethical standards
