Dina was a delight to work for and was very kind and courteous and helped me get through my hard time. She communicated well and represented me extremely well. i was very happy that I chose her. I first went to another attorney. Boy what a mistake. She nickel and dimed me on everything and actually made the divorce process stressful and caused more tension between my ex and I. I finally changed lawyers and chose Dina and man what a difference it made in the process.
I would highly recommend Dina Afek to anyone seeking help in a divorce/custody case. Ms. Afek always answered all of my questions and gave me practical guidance through the whole process. She will tell you what to expect from the local judges. Ms. Afek returns emails and calls promptly and always has a friendly disposition. I don't think I ever went more than 3 hours without a response from her. Ms. Afek saves you money by using free services out there such as Mediation and Conciliation!
I wanted the mediation for our separation and custody arrangements to be consensus-based and not vindictive. Even though it was an emotional time for me Dina helped us keep the tone civil and to make decisions that were fair and balanced. She met with us when we were available and seemed to care about both of us. I can't imagine how the outcome could have been better, and the process, though difficult, was tolerable and I felt like we consistently made progress and kept moving at the right pace.
She is very bright, anticipates your needs, is up front, and handles your case expeditiously.
Very inexperienced lawyer. Has caused several errors that we have since been told are "common sense" causing us over $43,000 in damages, $31,000 in debt, and $60,000 in child support for a child that isn't mine because Dina was negligent in her duties as a lawyer. She made several changes to documentation and submitted to court without clients approval causing further damages that benefited opposing client and did not represent the best interests of her own client.
