About Emily Hollenberg

Emily Hollenberg is an Associate Attorney at Mellin Robinson, PC, where she focuses her practice exclusively on family law. She understands that family law matters are often some of the most emotionally difficult experiences her clients will face, and she is committed to guiding them with compassion, clarity, and strong advocacy.

Emily earned her Bachelor’s degree from Boston University and her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School. Before joining Mellin Robinson, she practiced at a Detroit Metro Area family law firm, where she assisted hundreds of individuals and families navigating complex and deeply personal legal challenges.

Emily’s background includes serving as a Staff Attorney at the Wayne County Friend of the Court, where she acted as a Special Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. In that role, she worked on matters involving paternity, child custody, parenting time, and child support, giving her valuable insight into how courts evaluate and decide family law cases. She has also worked at Legal Aid, advising clients on a wide range of family law issues and advocating for those in need of guidance and stability.

Earlier in her career, Emily worked in Washington, D.C., representing U.S. nationals in international property disputes and serving at the Department of Justice. There, she held roles as a Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission of the United States and as a Special Assistant in the Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering, and Tracking (SMART) Office.

Emily represents clients throughout Michigan in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, support, and property division. She is also a trained mediator and strives to resolve disputes in a way that protects her clients’ interests while minimizing conflict whenever possible. Above all, Emily is dedicated to listening to her clients, understanding their goals, and helping them move forward with confidence.

Emily is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan and the District of Columbia. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Michigan Inter-Professional Association on Marriage, Divorce and the Family and the Family Law Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association
