Aron entered into practice with Preszler Injury Lawyers upon his call to the bar of Ontario in 2016. Previously, Aron completed his summer and articling terms with the firm. Aron obtained his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 2011, and Master’s and law degrees from the University of Toronto, where he graduated from the Faculty of Law in 2015.
Aron has successfully represented the firm’s clients at trial, on appeals, and in administrative proceedings. He is especially grateful to have had the opportunity to advance the law governing compensation in sexual abuse claims, working together with Jeffrey Preszler to achieve a decision lifting the cap on general damages that the Law Times called “a first for the province”.
Aron has also successfully handled many ancillary aspects of personal injury litigation, such as attorning insured claims to the Superior Court’s jurisdiciton in the context of bankruptcy and insolvency, including Companies’ Creditors’ Arrangement Act proceedings, enforcing uninsured judgments, and implementing case-specific management strategies in Court approvals of settlements acheived for persons under disability, including the purchase of real estate. Additionally, he has acted pro bono to protect clients’ interests before the Social Security Tribunal and Landlord Tenant Board.
He has been published in “Best Lawyers” on the issue of prejudgment interest in historical tort claims and has given several CLE presentations. His work has been covered by the CBC, Law Times, Canadian Underwriter, CTV News, and Benefits Canada.
