Hired Attorney

This attorney is great for cases where you have the money to pay by the hour. I appreciate what he did to help my case while he was active, but when it came to my kids safety, it’s as if he didn’t seem to understand and was not willing to budge. Also, once he decided he was done, even before he was released, he put me in a tough position where he stopped being responsive to the judges orders for filings and whatnot, but I couldn’t file in accordance with the deadlines because he was still representing me on paper. It’s not completely his fault- our judge took over two months to release him, but still, the consequences of not meeting the courts deadlines with mandatory filings resulted in the court deciding that I had wasted the courts time in my attempts to file after Stuart was dismissed, and because it was past the deadline and the opposing party replied, I had to pay their legal fees and listen to the judge yell she doesn’t believe an attorney would ignore her but stated I had.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
