Kindra Deneau was extremely unresponsive to me and opposing counsel. Opposing counsel even threatened to sue me after waiting 2 months for the initial proposal that she promised to send over and over. She never once went over budgeting with me. I asked for an invoice many times and even though they kept promising me the invoice they didn't send it until after my matter was closed 8 months in. For 6 months they didn't even tell me I had used up my retainer. I ended up getting a bill for around $40,000. At that time Kindra threatened to sue me if I did not pay within 3 days. Those fees were beyond excessive. I confronted her again about showing a lack diligence through entire case. Her response was to send me a closure letter stating that when I paid the final bill I would agree to a non-disparagement and confidentiality agreement. And again she said if I did not agree to those terms, make full payment within 3 business days she would sue me and send me to collections.
