About Ms. Jeanne Trudeau Tate

Jeanne T. Tate is a Board Certifed Adoption Attorney at Tate Healey Webster. For six years, Ms. Tate was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida College of Law where she taught Adoption Law and Procedure.  Ms. Tate has an extensive and exclusive practice in the area of adoptions, and has participated in the placement of over 4,000 children in loving homes.  As a member of the prestigious Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys and The Florida Adoption Council, Jeanne has been active in interstate compact adoptions and has a comprehensive knowledge of adoption law.  She works closely with adoption agencies to provide a full range of services to birth parents and adoptive families, and owns her own agency, Heart of Adoptions, Inc.  She also found a nonprofit adoption agency, Heart Of Adoptions Alliance, Inc. that works with foster care and special-needs children.

Hired Attorney

I am an adult adoptee and needed family medical information. I had already figured out who my parents and birth families were though DNA testing and extensive research. Kim and Erica were able to be appointed intermediary, unseal the entire adoption record and case notes, obtain my original birth certificate, and death certificates with cause of death for both my biological parents. This was to confirm my research and see if there was any medical info in the files. I had them reach out to some maternal cousins who agreed to direct contact and we exchanged a lot of medical info and photographs. I have now requested they reach out to my paternal immediate family. I am happy I took this step and that I used this firm as recommended by an employee of the State of Florida. I highly recommend this firm.
