Douglas McAlarney, Attorney at Law, is licensed to practice in Florida and North Dakota and holds a law degree with honors from The Florida State University College of Law. During law school, he earned the distinguished “Book Award” in Workers’ Compensation, achieved Dean’s List recognition, and received Honorable Mention in the St. Thomas More Moot Court competition. Mr. McAlarney also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where he studied under the late UN Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick. His legal career encompasses representing clients in assisted living facility, defamation, election, and personal injury matters. He is also deeply committed to pro bono work, including a high-profile case that helped reunite a wrongfully accused mother with her child—a story recognized by the Florida Bar News. Prior to practicing law, Mr. McAlarney spent two decades as a political consultant, advising U.S. and international leaders and training activists abroad. His experience extends to service in the U.S. Army, stationed in Berlin during the fall of the Berlin Wall. He remains active in the community through youth sports and as a Guardian ad Litem volunteer.
