Stacy A. Marris, a Partner at Costello, Cooney & Fearon, started her tenure with the Firm in 2020.
Stacy supports the Firm’s impressive municipal practice which serves as counsel for numerous cities, towns and villages across Upstate New York, representing city councils, town boards, village boards, planning boards and zoning boards of appeals. Her litigation practice includes an emphasis on insurance coverage disputes and general defense of insureds. She has experience in the representation of insurance carriers, both as plaintiff and defendant, and providing coverage advice and analysis. She also has experience in litigation at both the state and federal level. She has also expanded her practice to include the quickly-evolving field of cannabis law and other regulated industries.
Prior to Costello, Cooney & Fearon, Stacy worked as an associate at Barclay Damon LLP and as a policy intern at the Department of Commerce, National Telecommunications and Information Administration. While at the Department of Commerce, she was a contributing member to a report to then-president of the United States, Barack Obama, regarding broadband deployment and issues facing adoption.
