I hired Mr. Steakley for Estate Planning - Preparation of my Will, Powers of Attorney, Medical Directive, etc. Mr. Steakley was very considerate regarding my specific wishes for the designation of my estate. He addressed my concerns in a very knowledgeable and warm manner. I felt that I was in very capable hands. I again used Mr. Steakley's services when I was presented with Division Orders for an oil lease. Once again i was impressed with the professionalism of Mr. Steakley and his staff
It is a real shame that I have to leave even a 1 star rating for this guy. This is a poor example of a business person, lawyer, and human being. It is not a good day if lies do not arise from the building he's staffed in. As a lawyer he's in it for the money and himself only. As a human being and business person, the same, his client is never a priority to him. He does not know trial law. wants to be a puppet to the system and just keep raping clients from their money. He does have some backing with Texas State Bar, they all back their own, because when complaints are filed they continue to back and support his lies, un-professionalism, and his weak qualifications to represent someone in an actual courtroom off paper settlements and pleas. It's a real shame that he even continues to brag to his clients that "by God I've been doing this for 40 years", just think about how many people have been hurt and abused on their own dime in that time.
It took him a very long time to do our simple case and he charged a huge amount of money. He also was not kind to us.
Had my case for a couple of years, he sat on my case did nothing that i could see, took my money, i finally got tired of nothing being done so i got another attorney. still waiting to see if i'm gonna get any of of my money back, every time we went to his office for update there was none. Don't spend your hard earned money on him.
