Dmitry Polyakov is the lead personal injury attorney at DDT Law Group. After beginning his legal career defending insurers, corporations, and insured parties in personal injury matters, he shifted exclusively to plaintiff-side advocacy in 2014. This experience gives him a rare dual perspective of both sides of personal injury litigation and how defense counsel and insurance companies evaluate risk. Dmitry uses that deep insight to craft aggressive, effective strategies for his clients.
Combined with a relentless commitment to justice, Dmitry aims to always recover maximum compensation for his clients. Over the years, Dmitry has handled a wide range of serious personal injury cases, from car and trucking accidents to complex matters involving catastrophic injuries, multiple parties, voluminous evidence, and challenging legal issues.
He’s known for his meticulous preparation, strategic mindset, and client‑focused representation, which has resulted in him securing millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts on behalf of his clients.
Dmitry earned his J.D. in 2008 from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, in 2005 from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi. He is licensed to practice throughout Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Dmitry is also fluent in Russian.
Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing pickleball, and rooting for Chicago sports teams.
