He holds a B.A. degree from Colby College (1968) and J.D. degree from Syracuse University College of Law (1971). Before starting private practice, he was a law clerk at the United States Court of Claims, Washington, D.C. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, U.S. Court of Appeals 2nd Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
