About Daniel Allan Juengel

I am a criminal trial lawyer with over 25 years of experience.  I have defended death penalty cases and tried numerous murder cases and serious sex offenses.  I have represented clients throughout the State of Missouri and in federal district court in Missouri, Illinois, Alabama, and South Carolina.  I have argued cases before the Supreme Court of Missouri, the Missouri Court of Appeals, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.  I have submitted appellate briefs in the Fourth, Seventh and Eleventh Circuits and the United States Supreme Court.  I am a member of the Federal Criminal Justice Act Lead Panel in the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois , a contract attorney for the Missouri State Public Defender System and the Principal Shareholder and managing attorney of Frank, Juengel & Radefeld P.C. a St. Louis based criminal defense firm. I believe everyone accused of a crime has the right to be defended by an experienced and effective lawyer, no matter what the charge.  Often the defense lawyer is the only one to stand up for the accused, and stand between them and the Government, who are trying to take away their liberty.  I feel privileged to defend my clients and work hard to make sure the Government and the Courts do not violate their Constitutional Rights.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.

• Notable: This rating indicates that the lawyer has been recognized by a large number of their peers for strong ethical standards.

Lawyers who have received peer reviews after 2009 will display more detailed information, including practice areas, summary ratings, detailed numeric ratings and written feedback (if available). Details for individual reviews received before 2009 are not displayed.
