Hired Attorney Dan Romine

I'll start this off with he might be a good lawyer for some cases, but be careful what you select him for. In January, due to icy, untreated roads, I slid through an intersection with a stop sign. Unfortunately, another vehicle hit mine broadside. They weren't injured. But I got a ticket. The punishment for running a stop sign is a class C misdemeanor. I hired Romine to get the ticket knocked down as low as he could. His communication was poor at best. He told me he'd talk to the prosecutor after the 3rd time the court date was continued and call me back. I waited a month & 10 days before the next date when I finally went myself. The prosecutor offered SIS. I don't think Romine made an attempt to get it lowered. He seemed pretty happy with SIS, but it's not his life, is it? I don't appreciate being lied to about what could happen or after he told me he'd call me back the following week. Please be very cautious when considering a lawyer so you don't get taken advantage of.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
