Cooney Law offices was hired to handle my grandfather's estate after he passed. It hasn't been the simplest as far as closing it out, and I have emailed questions. Most of my emails take months for someone to respond, and calling, they just send you to voicemail. They will respond via email but make no effort to give you next steps. I have no idea how to close out the estate, even after getting some of my questions answered. Also, in email correspondence, the lawyer (Meagan Bennet) has included the wrong contact who had my same first name, sharing private information. Also, when desperate to close out and just get her on the phone for 10 minutes, her paralegal accidentally replied back to me thinking I was the lawyer, annoyed that I wanted to close this out. The unprofessionalism is unreal. My grandfather passed Sept 2023 and I am still trying to get this finished up. They could care less about you.

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
