The Law Office of Paul J. Schwab is a law firm established in 1989 with an office in Southfield, MI. At this office location, there is 1 lawyer practicing elder law, family law, divorce and 14 other areas of law.
This was the worst experience of my life. P. Schwab is a dishonest, manipulative, and untrustworthy person. He misled me about the hours of his service, the amount of work involved, and more. He even intimidated me by claiming that my case “cannot be won.” Most importantly, he quoted one amount for his services in the contract, but that amount kept increasing. In the end, I ended up paying four times more than we originally agreed upon. As a young, inexperienced immigrant with limited English skills, I felt vulnerable and fearful, and Mr. Schwab took advantage of that. I've also met two other women who were similarly exploited by him.
We should have paid more attention to the review on this site and others. We went to get a revocable living trust. Our first meeting was extremely friendly. When we brought in deeds in the second meeting, he proceeded to declare our properties as clouded. He then wanted us to hire a title company. He was affiliated with. We had agreed on a flat fee, but it was obvious that he was going to make sure that fee went up. We canceled our agreement with him. We have located another Attorney, who is also a realtor. He is much more knowledgeable and half the price. Be extremely careful if you hire this attorney.
