He minimized counselor time, even by phone, citing expense. Ultimately, after paying him $2,500, plus $300, a for an investigative report that he concluded was not "worth the paper it was written on," Mr. Hamilton decided on the day of the trial, that I should take the stand and defend myself. I paid him fully, but I felt he threw me under the bus. He also promised me a $40 refund of the $300 I paid for the report, but that never happened, either, despite repeated calls to his office.
