About Mr. Richard Michael Ursha II

I did not come from a family of lawyers or doctors, actually I was the only one on my mother's side of the family to ever go to college. My dad started working in the factory, General Motors, when he was seventeen and my mom was a hairstylist, or back in her day, a beautician.

I joined the U.S. Army as an infantry soldier and served in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. I went to college, making my parents proud, and then followed my dream and went to law school. I always had a job and worked while I went to college and law school, even if it was as a lifeguard at the beach during college.

My Accomplishments

During law school I worked as a federal law enforcement officer during the day, and went to law school at night. Even while working full time, getting married to my beautiful wife, Andrea, having my son, Alex, I was still able to make it onto the Dean's List, become a member of Phi Delta Phi – Honors Fraternity, and graduate in the top third of my class.

After law school I moved out to the beautiful hill country and started practicing criminal defense. Now I have been here for over a dozen years practicing criminal defense in this area and now also have a daughter, Mackenzie. I have had the opportunity to serve as the Vice President of the Hays County Bar Association and on the Board of Directors for the Wimberley Chamber of Commerce.

I Treat My Clients How I Would Like to be Treated

I enjoy practicing criminal defense and really like helping people get out of a bad situation. I am in the service industry and I never forget that and always treat my clients like I would like to be treated. Not to many people tip there lawyer, but I have gotten Yetti Coolers full of fresh shrimp from the gulf, Fishing Trips, bottles of liquor (more than I could ever drink), gift baskets of all sorts, but what means the most to me is all the cards, calls, and text saying thank you. If you want an attorney that will treat you like a person, give me a call. Thanks.
