I started this law firm to help people get through the terrible process of divorce. Good marriages usually have a lot of challenges. But if you’re in a bad marriage, it can feel like you’re suffering a jail sentence. I personally understand the challenges faced in a bad marriage. FORMAL COMPLAINT & WARNING TO OTHERS I am reporting Seabrook Law Offices and my former attorneys to the California State Bar Association. This firm lost a $4,000 payment made on my behalf, then pressured me into signing a Substitution of Attorney based on the false claim that the payment was never made. I was later billed for unnecessary and unauthorized services. They also refused—despite multiple requests—for weeks to return my documents and case file. UPDATE: A client liaison contacted me and asked if refunding the $4,000 would resolve the matter. I explained that I am seeking a full refund, including my original retainer, due to the firm’s serious mishandling of my case. Their own leadership admitted that my attorney failed to exercise due diligence. I was told they would speak with Paul Seabrook.
