Ms. Jentz was born in San Diego, California. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco School of Law and was admitted to practice law in California in 2009. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts at the University of San Francisco majoring in Politics, Sociology, and Communications and minoring in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies.
Ms. Jentz has extensive experience in all aspects of family law. While handling complex asset characterization and division issues in family law has been a primary focus in her legal tenure, before joining this office she also engaged in trusts and estate planning, as well as advocating civil rights issues for incarcerated persons. Her advocacy in family law began when she interned at Kaye Moser Hierbaum, and witnessed the satisfaction in helping clients through their divorce, custody battles, prenuptial anxieties, and support crusades. When a client's personal stability is turned upside down in family law actions, it brings Ms. Jentz great satisfaction to help her clients cope through such intimate pandemonium and easily navigate their way through the complicated legal system.
Ms. Jentz is a member of the State Bar of California, the San Mateo Bar Association, the San Francisco Bar Association, and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers mentor group.
When Ms. Jentz is not in the office, she spends her time on the Board of Directors of a nonprofit inmate rehabilitation group at San Quentin.
Ms. Jentz has been selected as a 2011 Northern California Super Lawyer "Rising Star" in the July issue of the San Francisco magazine. The list represents the top 2.5 percent of up-and-coming lawyers in the state.
