Allen represented me in a misdemeanor case when he was with the Public Defender's office. He came to trial completely unprepared; he was either unfamiliar with the case file, completely incompetent, or both. He sat in silence while the prosecutor consistently violated the judge's pretrial rulings on what could be presented to the jury. The alleged victim gave testimony he KNEW wasn't true, (during pretrial, he argued against them being presented) yet when she made those damaging statements to the jury, he said nothing. He didn't challenge the impossible scenario presented by the witnesses, and if he'd been familiar with the evidence, he'd have known they were lying. Worst of all, he violated client/attorney privilege--and records privacy laws--by sharing my medical history with the court while I wasn't there even though I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM not to. He put forth literally ZERO defense, let them say whatever they wanted, and didn't challenge/argue ANYTHING....of COURSE I lost.
