About Will Wagner

Will Wagner focuses his practice on consumer product defense and regulatory compliance. His practice centers on the defense of environmental consumer claims involving California’s unique Proposition 65 and consumer false advertising class actions. He defends companies in the personal care, fashion, food and beverage, and textile industries relating to substances of concern including heavy metals, microplastics, PFAS, titanium dioxide, and phthalates. Will also defends consumer product companies against deceptive advertising claims, including greenwashing, recyclability, nonfunctional slack-fill, structure/function claims, and ingredient content deficiencies.

Further, Will has broad experience navigating California and other states’ environmental laws and regulations that impact consumer product companies. This includes advising companies on the proliferation of PFAS prohibitions, recycling laws (such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)), and other greenwashing advertising regulations. He also has experience with pertinent California agencies, including the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), Department of Public Health, California Air Resources Board (CARB), and the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

Will is also a registered lobbyist in California, focusing on legislation that impacts product companies.
