Crystal has an extensive philanthropic background working in non-profit organizations. Prior to and during law school, Crystal was a law clerk at a firm with legal experience in complex business litigation, accountant's liabilities, bankruptcy and public agency contracts. She also worked in community organizing in housing advocacy in Sacramento, an externship at a public interest non-profit law firm in San Francisco focusing complex social issues facing California communities, and an internship working with constituents and legislative affairs in the California State Assembly.
