In 1990, Bill married Margaret, who is also a practicing attorney, and they live in Lynchburg. Together they enjoy traveling, and on their “bucket list” is the hope to attend a professional baseball game in every major league park. They are currently halfway there.
Bill is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Bar Association, Lynchburg Bar Association, Campbell County Bar Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Fellows of the Virginia Law Foundation. Bill is a past-President of the Lynchburg Bar Association, has served on the Board of Directors for the Client Protection Fund for the Virginia State Bar, and served as faculty and a lecturer for the Virginia State Bar’s Professionalism Course.
