I tried to handle legal issues but judical representatives of the courts would not even talk to me nor give me any documents or information without an attorney. I contacted Steven Stroud on a referral by friend and found him very adequate although expensive in his actual work in these cases.
In 1998 I hired this attorney to represent me in a custody case and he had me keep a journal of all the activity of when my daughter was with her father. He said we definitely had a very strong case. When we finally went to court he looked at me and said we need to settle out of court and I asked what was going on and why settle. He said we just don't have a case. I asked him what else do I have to do to keep my daughter safe, wait until she is seriously hurt with her dad drinking and driving and not having her in a car seat. He said yes I guess so. I was furious after paying him $5000.00. Later I found out that he had done the same thing to another person. I ended up calling Bob Kornegay and he was excellent.
