About Brent F. Romney

In a remarkable career of over 30 years, there is little that Mr. Romney hasn't accomplished. He is one of the most respected and widely quoted attorneys in California. A graduate of Brigham Young University, he rose to the rank of Assistant District Attorney (#3) in the Orange County District Attorney's Office before leaving to accept a full time position as a law school professor. His state and federal court experience includes extensive trial and appellate work on a variety of matters including death penalty cases. He has appeared on local and national TV and radio and has written numerous papers and training materials on a wide range of legal topics. Mr. Romney is a well known speaker before prosecutors, at police agencies and attorney meetings, as well as at community forums. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Bar Association and was President of the Association of Orange County Deputy District Attorneys.

Hired Attorney

I usually don’t write reviews on attorneys because most of them usually come across as a good attorney and be completely different, but this lawyer is AMAZING. He loves his job and it shows. Really nice person. Very much educated in every law aspected. Mr. Romney made sure that any and questions asked were answered. The compassion that he had for us regarding my brother ( whom he never met) was settling. In fact, he was funny and had an amazing way of making us laugh when we felt lost and defeated. We need more people like him in this world overall, not just as attorneys. I want to be a lawyer someday and I actually gave up on that dream until he empowered me. He encouraged me! Oftentimes it’s strangers who build us up in life and he was one. I wish nothing but the best for him in life and anyone who does get the opportunity to work beside him and those whom he will work for, be blessed and understand the blessing that is given.
