Had a great time working with Christopher Jackson and John Kivus, they took the extra time to understand my complex situation in a gaming/software dispute. Communication was always very clear, they are extremely responsive, organized and came to a creative resolution that ended up working out better than I could have expected.
I was deceived and taken advantage of by MorningStar Legal Group, Durham, NC. Repeated attempts to clarify fees were met with evasion. Counsel Mitch Tuchman, a representative of the firm, declined to provide a specific cost estimate, vaguely stating that charges were hourly and based on the work's complexity. The billing method email received was similarly unhelpful, offering only a generic outline without any indication of what the particular case would cost. I returned the signed retainer agreement and 31 pages of documents for review. Even after receiving the full document, Counsel Tuchman failed to provide an estimate, leaving me with the mistaken impression that the cost would be well below the $1800 retainer fee paid. The exorbitant fee charged was far beyond affordability. Had I been aware of the true cost, services would not have been engaged. I was financially exploited, lured by retainer documents that deliberately obscured the actual cost.
