About Kelly Elizabeth Elder

Kelly’s practice is focused on representing people injured by professional negligence, such as medical malpractice, or by defective drugs, including adverse reactions to vaccines. After completing law school, Kelly began her legal career at the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C., where she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marian Blank Horn.

In 2021, she joined Martin & Jones because of her strong desire to fight for individuals who have been wrongly injured or harmed. Kelly understands how difficult it can be to be injured or to lose a loved one because of professional negligence or an adverse reaction to a drug or vaccine. She takes to heart the problems of the clients of Martin & Jones, embraces hard work, and is totally committed to obtaining the maximum recovery and benefits under the law for our clients.

Kelly graduated from the George Washington University Law School in 2019, with honors. While in law school, she was recognized as a Thurgood Marshall Scholar. During her second year of law school, she was selected to represent clients as a student-attorney in the George Washington Law Vaccine Injury Litigation Clinic. Kelly served as the Executive Articles Editor of the quarterly journal of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and was a member of the Moot Court and Mock Trial Boards. She is licensed to practice in North Carolina, the District of Columbia, South Carolina and the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Prior to attending law school, Kelly graduated with highest honors from North Carolina State University, earning a degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy, summa cum laude. During her time at N.C. State, she was a Dean’s List student, a member of the University Honors Program, Pi Sigma Alpha (the National Political Science Honors Society), and Pi Beta Phi.

Kelly is a Greensboro native where she attended Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School. Outside of the office she enjoys taking walks with her dog, participating in sports, and reading novels.
