In this capacity, he worked closely with the U.S. Department of State, members of Congress and the multilateral processes of the United Nations. Mat has written extensively on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, including international and domestic carbon markets. Mat also served two years in Teach for America and graduated from The George Washington University, magna cum laude.

    When not at his desk, Mat, his wife Lauren and their ever-ready Shepherd Luna can be found seeking adventure on the coast or back-country of wonderfully beautiful Maine.
