I did not receive a complete listing of the companies that were involved in my bankruptcy. Make sure you check with him all the companies you submitted and match those up with the companies he submitted before you are discharged.
He ws not good at all about keeping me informed of what was going on. He didn't seem to know anything about how to make my ex pay his share of anything. Each proposed settlement got worse and worse for me
Mr Daniels accepted a 3,000 retainer from me and appeared at precisely one matter with regard to my divorce. During the single time he appeared for me, I engaged with counsel for my ex, while Mr. Daniels was entirely silent. He complimented me "Good job in there". Okay? Why am I paying you? When my divorce dragged on for years, at some point Mr. Daniels stopped responding to pleadings without having withdrawn from the case. We never subsequently had any contact until I asked Mr Daniels for a refund of unearned fees. He never responded to my request for a statement of my account or balance of unearned retainer. I settled my case pro se against one of the most prominent divorce firms in the city (Carole McCarthy's firm) while Mr Daniels skulked unresponsive in his South Side offices. Avoid. Not competent, not an effective advocate, does not behave ethically. My case was in 2009, and Mr Daniels should know who I am. Phone number and email remains the same. Do the right thing.
