My experience with Larry Blair and James Murray Egan (deceased), who managed the Joseph Trees Estate and Edith Trees Charitable Trust, reflects severe mismanagement and unethical practices. Despite overseeing significant trusts, they failed to inform beneficiaries about asset management or distributions, neglecting their fiduciary duties. Most concerning was their disregard for disabled family members, contradicting the trust's mission to aid such individuals. Requests for historical items tied to Joseph Trees were ignored, showing a pattern of asset withholding and deception. Key issues include a lack of transparency, financial and legal mismanagement, and inadequate communication. Beneficiaries were left in the dark, without comprehensive distribution records or meetings for accountability. Despite stacks of documents, no tax guidance was provided, attorney fees depleted the trust, and asset reports were absent. Egan even dismissed questions by hanging up during inquiries.
