I was represented by the partner, Mr. Platt. My case was outside the normal guidelines of the court for Chapter 7 action. Mr. Platt used the exceptions in the law to get me a chapter 7 determination.
I am happy with the way Platt and Westby handled my case, they were always available to speak with me about my case. They handled my case responsibly and closed my case quickly.
This firm broke the number one rule as an attorney. Yes this is attorney 101. NEVER ask your client a question that you don’t know the answer to. If you have not rehearsed Q and A with your client do NOT ask the question. Not only did they ask questions we never went over but they also asked questions that could make me commit to a crime. What are you thinking? Then they charged me way to much. I would not rehire or recommend. Yes they lost my case and send me a final outrageous bill. That final bill was a joke after they blew my case
Dishonest, will charge you $425/hr for any work the secretaries performs. Doesn't keep you informed on goings on or will lie directly to you. I cancelled with them before they had done anything and they charged $1,000 3 days later. They are more than willing to provide extensive reasons why you owe money - aside from giving you the work-product, examples of said work, or demonstrating any clear reason that a service was provided. Avoid - Total Crooks.
