Hired Attorney Mr. Fred Ruotolo

Fred handled my divorce. Besides being a tremendous attorney, I appreciated his honesty and compassion. Getting a divorce after 30 years of marriage is difficult and confusing. He explained the process and helped me decide the path I wanted to take concerning spousal support and division of assets. His kindness and knowledge of the system are exactly what I needed.

Christa Banfield and her paralegal Nichol Fitzpatrick are an amazing team. I was involved in a high conflict, very emotional custody case, post divorce, and Christa handled everything with professionalism, compassion, thoroughness, and efficiency. Although it was a stressful time, never once did I feel lost or hopeless because I had Christa at my side. She is a brilliant lawyer who I owe a huge debt of gratitude to. I could not have gotten through my case without her. Christa’s advice and strategy was always spot on. Colin Bell was outstanding through my complicated out of state process. He wasn't just my attorney, he partnered up with me as a team. Always responsive and compassionate, he went way out of his way to help me. I'm out of state and needed help in AZ, and he did not disappoint! Thank you Colin, I only hope to actually meet you someday. I can not recommend Stewart Law, Robert Howard and Colin Bell strong enough.

I can’t begin to thank Fred enough. My divorce was difficult, I can’t begin to explain how emotionally and physically drained I was. Looking at all the paperwork, and trying to get through everything felt like climbing a mountain. There were many obstacles and questions I had going into it, but Fred took the time to make sure I knew what was happening with my case and to keep me informed. He and Erica handled everything from start to end. Thank you. So, glad I called.

Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.

• Notable: This rating indicates that the lawyer has been recognized by a large number of their peers for strong ethical standards.

Lawyers who have received peer reviews after 2009 will display more detailed information, including practice areas, summary ratings, detailed numeric ratings and written feedback (if available). Details for individual reviews received before 2009 are not displayed.

Attorneys that receive reviews from their peers, but not a sufficient number to establish a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, will have those reviews display on our websites.
