Tarik A. Brooks is a member of the Public Finance & Infrastructure Practice in Greenberg Traurig's Philadelphia office. Tarik has a diverse practice that includes the areas of public finance, commercial finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Tarik serves as lender’s counsel, purchaser’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel to various investment and commercial banks in taxable and tax-exempt financing transactions, including private placement bond transactions to finance the acquisition, construction, and rehabilitation of multifamily housing projects. He is experienced in affordable housing and community development matters involving new markets tax credits, historic tax credits, and advising national banks with making investments in compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act.
Tarik’s commercial finance practice involves the representation of borrowers and lenders in the financing of senior secured term loan and revolving credit facilities, acquisition financing for mergers and acquisitions, asset-based lending and private credit transactions. His mergers and acquisitions practice includes advising buyers and sellers in private mergers and acquisitions. Tarik has also advised financial institutions on the development and operation of mission-driven loan programs.
