Shannon Byrne is an Associate in the Labor & Employment group of the Philadelphia office. Her practice covers a broad range of employment-related matters, including termination, harassment, retaliation, and discrimination. Shannon provides clients with comprehensive legal advice and representation, helping them navigate complex employment laws and regulations.
Before joining Margolis Edelstein, Shannon practiced in the areas of Small Business and Employment law. She advised new businesses, drafted and negotiated a wide array of contracts, and played a significant role in managing mergers and acquisitions. Her experience in advising startups and established companies alike has equipped her with a unique perspective on the challenges businesses face in the employment context, making her an invaluable resource to her clients.
Shannon graduated from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law. Prior to law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the College of New Jersey where she served as President of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. Shannon’s previous experience includes a co-op at Drexel Medical School’s Office of General Counsel, where she researched and drafted COVID-19 policy papers, and an internship with the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, where she contributed to a Post Conviction Relief Act opinion. Additionally, her early career involved work with the New Jersey Association of Community Providers, focusing on legislative support and policy development.
