About Alexandra A. Stulpin

Alexandra Stulpin brings nearly a decade of experience litigating medical, human rights and sexual abuse cases in state and federal courts. She uses a trauma-informed approach throughout every stage of the litigation process when representing victims and survivors. Allie also lectures and presents nationally on issues involving institutional sexual abuse and assault litigation.

Prior to joining Motley Rice, Allie was part of a national litigation practice focused on representing survivors of sexual and physical assaults in institutional settings, including boarding schools, residential treatment facilities, hospitals, universities, schools, sports organizations, daycare centers, religious institutions, and massage parlors. Allie was also a civil litigator at a plaintiff’s firm in Philadelphia, managing all the firm’s sexual abuse cases from initial intake to conclusion, in addition to her catastrophic injury cases. Her background involving education law cases in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, in which she collaborated with school administrators, child study teams, and special education teachers, now informs her current sexual abuse practice, especially as it relates to our most vulnerable special education students.

During her clerkship for the Honorable William E. Nugent in the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, Allie drafted preliminary judicial opinions and memoranda for a panel of four appellate judges involving civil, criminal, and family law appeals across the state of New Jersey. She also reviewed and disposed of emergent and interlocutory appeals through the drafting of individual orders.

While in law school, Allie served as associate editor for the Maryland Law Review, President of the Criminal Law Association and was an Academic Achievement Fellow. At Penn State, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Lion Scouts, and served as captain of the Penn State Women’s Crew Team. Allie also was a Schreyer Honors Scholar, earning interdisciplinary honors in History and Women’s Studies, following the submission and approval of her thesis entitled “Lifting the Veil: A Comprehensive Analysis of Sexual Violence in Iraq and Afghanistan from 1989-2009.” Her thesis explored how sexual assault was weaponized against women and children during times of military occupation in the Middle East.

Allie presently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School where she teaches “Sex Crimes and the Law,” which focuses on the application of substantive law and legal ethics to practice-based situations to better understand the intersection of criminal/civil legal processes and survivor remedies as it relates to sex crimes.
