Why am I being sued for breach of contract if I completed my work?

Answered by attorney Travis K. Siegel (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Travis K. Siegel
You'll need to find out specifically why this person is suing you. As far as when you finished the website, typically the only time you can be held liable for not completing on time is if "time is of the essence" and it is explicitly stated in the contract. Even then the customer must act reasonably to allow you to finish the project on time. It sounds like 1) "time of the essence" was not in the contract and 2) client's actions prevented you from completing on time. You will most likely have to contact a lawyer to help you unless you want to defend yourself. That will depend on whether the action is a limited civil action, unlimited, etc. Not sure how much you are being sued for though.

If boyfriend was cleaning his gun and bullet went off and killed a friend what will happen to him?

Answered by attorney Marc Lazarus (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Russell & Lazarus
From a civil standpoint, the person cleaning the gun who somehow accidentally shot another person while cleaning the gun is going to be financially responsible for the medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering he cause to the shooting victim. It is up to the District Attorney to determine if there is a likelihood of proving the person who was cleaning the gun had an intent to shoot the gun before deciding if there is a basis for a charge of assault with a deadly weapon charges or attempted murder charges or any other crime will be filed against the person cleaning his gun.

What can I do if I am getting possibly sued for car accident?

In SC, if you are insured, it is likely that when the claim is reported to your insurance company, your insurance company will determine whether or not they will accept liability for the claim. If they do accept liability, then they will likely appoint defense counsel to represent you in the event of any legal action being filed and/or served upon you. If it appears that the claim will go beyond your policy limits, you may also want to hire a private attorney to represent your interests above and beyond the policy limits available to you. Prior to any action and/or inaction, you should consult with a local attorney as soon as possible.
