Can I sue if my DR failed to complete my surgery?

Answered by attorney Jeffrey Lapin (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Lapin Law Offices
You can sue a doctor for failing to complete a surgery if the surgeon committed "medical malpractice" in his/her failure to complete. However, just because a person had complications following surgery does not mean the surgeon did anything wrong. There are known complications for all surgeries.

What can I do if I was injured and want to get a settlement?

Answered by attorney Eric E Rothstein (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Rothstein Law PLLC
If you were injured while on the job your only remedy is worker's compensation. You may get a permanency rating and could get a settlement that way. Feel free to contact me if you'd like a referral to a comp lawyer.

Can I sue the babysitter for negligence?

Mark Joseph Leonardo
Answered by attorney Mark Joseph Leonardo (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Dordick Law Corporation
What did she do to cause the broken leg? If she was negligent in causing the injury, then yes; or if she knew he was engaging in a dangerous activity (e.g, jumping off the roof), and let it go on, then perhaps. But if your son was doing goofy stuff on his own, then you really have no claim against your sister. Since it happened at her house, her homeowners insurance should pay under the med-pay provision (usually around $5000) regardless of fault.
