You local state laws will determine your ability to proceed with such matters. This is best discussed in person at a local attorney's office. Most claims by minors for injuries have an extended statute of limitations allowing for bringing suit for a limited time after reaching majority/adulthood.

A contractor damaged my neighbor's property, what do I do?

You shouldn't be liable. The contractor is liable. If the contractor does not have insurance you may get sued but you would only be liable if you controlled the manner of the work.

What can we do if our daughter was killed by unknown driver?

Answered by attorney Reshard Juquin Alexander (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at RJ Alexander Law, PLLC
You need to provide more information about the situation. How was she killed? Where? Time? Alcohol-related? Others passengers/drivers present? If you simply have no idea where to start then speaking with your local police department may be the best place to begin.
