Can I sue if I slipped and fell while walking during a rainy day?

Answered by attorney Gregory M Janks (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Gregory M. Janks, P.C.
Your question does not have enough facts to answer same. Where exactly did the fall occur? Who owned/controlled the area where it happened? Why did you fall? Premises owners are only potentially liable if they created a hazardous condition and/or knew of such a condition and had a duty to fix and/or warn about it (not all situations call for such a duty in Michigan due to the open & obvious doctrine). It would be advisable for you to consult a local lawyer that handles premises cases for a review of your specific liability facts and damages.

Should I press charges for assault?

Personal Injury lawyer at Andrew T. Velonis, P.C.
No. Cool off. The cops probably won't want to get involved and if they do, then there's everything from court appearances to attorneys fees, none of which is going to make things better between you and her. Cut off all contact with her. Then, after time goes on, the two of you may realize that being sisters is more important than having arguments. And if you don't, well then at least there's no more fighting.

Can I sue the ER for misdiagnosing my son?

In order to prove a medical malpractice case, a claimant must prove a failure to conform to accepted practice, resulting in an injury. A bad result is not enough, and if it is a "judgment call" by the doctor, there is no malpractice, even if the doctor made the wrong call. You will need to get copies of your son's medical records and have a doctor review them; if he/she is willing to testify that the doctor(s) at the first hospital failed to conform to accepted practice, then you have a case.
